CT Kids Passport believes some of the best learning happens through experiences. That's why we're helping one Connecticut classroom turn its next field trip into a reality.
Connecticut educators can apply for a $500 Fund My Field Trip Grant to help cover transportation, admission, meals and other approved field-trip expenses.
Application opens October 1st 2026 -November 18th 2026
Fund My Field Trip is open to eligible Connecticut educators working directly with students in grades Pre-k to 8th grade at qualifying Connecticut schools. Public schools, private schools, magnet schools, charter schools, preschools.
Teacher will be chosen with a rubric system.
How it works:
1. Dream it!
Think of an educational experience you'd love to give your students
2. Apply
Tell CT Kids Passport where you would like to take your field trip, who will be going with you, why you've chosen this experience, what would you use the money for and how $500 would help make it possible.
3. Get Funded
One selected Connecticut classroom will receive $500 towards its approved field-trip expenses.
4. Go Explore
Load up the bus, get out of the classroom and make some memories
What can be funded?
Transportation
School bus, approved charter transportation or related transportation costs.
Admission
Museum, science center, zoo, historical site, educational attraction or other approved destination.
Meals
Lunches or approved meal costs associated with the field trip.
Educational Programming
Workshops, guided tours, educational add-ons or programming offered by the destination.
Field Trip Expenses
Other approved expenses directly necessary for completing the selected field trip.
